No. Instagram shows profile visits to nobody: not to you, not to business accounts, not to any app.
A site that promises a list of your visitors is making it up, and one that asks for your password can take your account.
Does Instagram show who viewed your profile?
No, and it never has. When someone opens your profile, nothing reaches you: no name, no notification, no list.
A business or creator account gets one thing more: the number of profile visits, in its insights. A number, never the names behind it.
What Instagram does show you
- Who watched your story. Open it and swipe up: every account that saw it, by name.
- Who liked and commented on your posts and reels.
- How many views a reel got. A total, no names.
- Who started following you, in your notifications.
A profile visit isn't on that list.
How to spot a fake profile-visitor app
An app can only show what Instagram gives out, and Instagram gives this to nobody. So these apps fill the gap: the people who liked your posts, random followers, or nothing at all until you pay. Close the tab if a site or app:
- asks for your Instagram password;
- wants a survey, another app or a payment before it “unlocks” the list;
- promises private accounts or “real-time” visitors;
- shows a list straight away that looks a lot like your latest likes.
The password is what they're after. With it, someone else can log in, change your email and lock you out.
Already gave your password to one of them?
- Change your password from the Instagram app, now.
- Turn on two-factor authentication in Accounts Center, under Password and security.
- Check where you're logged in, in the same place, and log out every device you don't know.
Can someone see that you viewed their profile?
No, it works both ways: opening a profile leaves nothing the owner can see.
Stories are the exception. Watch one while logged in and your name is in their viewer list. Our free story viewer never asks for a login, so on a public account you don't show up.

What you can really see on someone's account
On a public account, with no Instagram login:
- their stories and highlights, without showing up in their viewers;
- every account they follow, then an alert each time they follow someone new, or unfollow;
- whether two accounts follow each other, like or tag each other.
A private account keeps all of that for the followers it accepted. No tool gets past it.
